1Mazing
Privacy Policy
Effective July 22, 2026 · 0101 Inc
1Mazing is offline-first. You can play every game without ever going online, and your progress lives on your device. A few optional online features exist — leaderboards, a live activity feed, friend challenges, and cloud backup — and when you use them, we collect only the minimum needed to make them work. No ads. No third-party tracking. No personal information required.
What stays on your device
Your game progress — scores, Bits, Mind Level, streaks, settings, and puzzle picks — is stored on your device. If you pick a photo for a picture-based game, that photo is copied into 1Mazing's private storage on your device and never leaves it.
Optional online features — what they send
Online features are off until you choose to use them. When you do (e.g. posting to a leaderboard, joining the Arena, sending a friend challenge, or turning on cloud backup), 1Mazing sends to our own server only:
- Nickname a display name you choose — it does not need to be your real name.
- Scores your game scores and results, and which game you're playing.
- Anonymous ID a random player ID and secret token created on your device, so we can tell one player from another without knowing who you are.
- Approx. country the country your internet connection appears to come from (from the network only — never your device's GPS or precise location).
- Cloud backup if you turn it on, a copy of your game profile, saved under a recovery code that you create and keep. Anyone with the code can restore that backup, so keep it private.
What 1Mazing never does
- No ads — for anyone, ever.
- No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- No selling or sharing your data with anyone.
- No email, phone number, password, or real name required.
- No contacts and no precise location — ever.
- No always-on microphone or camera. Both are used only inside one specific game, only after you turn that feature on, and only while it is on screen — see Microphone & camera.
Permissions
Vibration is used for game feedback. Photo selection uses the system photo picker, which shares only the single photo you choose. Motion sensors are read only while you play dice games that use shake and tilt. The flashlight blinks during the Hot Potato party game. Internet is used only for the optional online features above.
Microphone & camera
Two games can use them. Both are optional, both are off until you switch them on, and in both cases the recording never leaves your device.
- Microphone 1Hunch lets you say your guesses instead of typing them — it exists so the game is playable by someone who can't comfortably type or can't see the keyboard. The microphone runs only while that game is open and only after you tap the 🎤 button, and it stops the moment you leave. Speech is turned into a single word on your device wherever your phone supports on-device recognition; where it isn't supported, your device's own operating system performs the recognition under Apple's or Google's terms. We never receive, store or transmit any audio — 1Mazing only ever sees the finished word, which is then played as your guess like any typed one.
- Camera Hot Potato (Android) has an optional instant-replay that records a short front-camera clip of the round, with sound. It is off by default, hidden entirely in Kids mode, and you switch it on yourself before a round. The clip is written to 1Mazing's private storage, overwritten by the next round, and deleted when you leave the game. It is never uploaded, never added to your photo library unless you explicitly tap Save, and never seen by us. Everyone in view should know it is recording — please ask before you switch it on.
Crews, chat and things you write
If you join a crew (an optional group chat), the messages, emoji reactions and shared-board words you post are stored on our server so your crew can see them, and they stay until you or the crew delete them, or until you delete your online data.
- Moderation messages pass an automatic filter for slurs and abuse before they are posted.
- Report you can report any message. A report sends us that message, so it can be reviewed even if it is later deleted. The person is not told who reported them.
- Block you can block any player. Blocking is private, immediate and stored on your device only — we are not told, and the person you blocked is not told.
- Support if you send us a bug report, idea or help request, we receive what you typed plus your app version, device OS version, play style and which game you were in. An email address is optional and used only to reply to you.
Sharing features
When you share a result or a friend-puzzle code, 1Mazing opens your device's standard share sheet. What you share, and with whom, is entirely your choice.
Purchases
If an optional 1Mazing+ membership becomes available, purchases are processed by Google Play or the App Store. We receive only the anonymous purchase confirmation those platforms provide — never your payment details.
Children
1Mazing is suitable for all ages and contains no behavioral advertising. The optional online features collect only the minimal, non-personal data listed above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has shared something that should be removed, contact us and we'll delete it.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling 1Mazing, or clearing its storage in device settings, permanently deletes everything stored on your device. If you used the online features, you can delete your online data at any time from within the app — open the profile menu, choose Sign in / Account, then Delete online data. That removes your nickname, scores, and any cloud backup tied to your player ID.
Don't have the app installed any more? You can still ask us to delete everything: see 1mazing.com/delete.
